I had the Eee PC 1000HE for about a week now, and has met my expectations. Since I started the Eee without installing the 2 GB of RAM that I bought this research is important for those who plan to upgrade, or have already upgraded the RAM in units. For those who do not add me that is very easy and cheap to the RAM memory of the Netbook. I had never opened a laptop chassis fine, and hweaves together for 5 minutes.
Pro:
* Up front, the package is cheap. You definitely get bang for your buck
* Bright, clear screen with excellent viewing angle.
* Great, more comfortable keyboard, touch typing is incredibly easy to get used a.
* Long battery life, I had my broken for more than seven hours without recharging.
* Exactly how much power and speed that I need a computer, are gvaak to perform some of my favorite games(GTA: San Andreas, UT2004 and Neverwinter Nights) without a sweat, eQuesto stream of photos and video via the wireless card.
* Energy saving shortcuts are really useful. Most of the time do not see the difference between "Power Saving" mode and "Super Performance" mode, which means that for normal use, I save a lot of battery life.
Cons:
* The volume is somewhat 'too low for the speakers, and when I wear a kadd phone. I opened the regulators of the volume at one point or another, and are unable to increase the volume past a certain point. Til I could think of her very irritating on a bus or a long plane ride.
* For the truly useful multi-touch pad (and is really handy), a number of presets are also closely associated with "up and down." For example, I think the opening of a lens Enlargeento 'one moment, and "zoom out" of a web page the next. I could not understand why all my web pages are small. So by eliminating most of the functions of the multi-touch is probably a smart idea when to start.
* This is just a quibble, but the resolution of 1024 x 600 is so special for a very limited number of machines.
